It is not always easy to find a good building inspector when buying a property. So what should be the main criteria to consider when choosing the best home inspector?

1. The building inspector must be protected by “errors and omissions” insurance.
2. The building inspector must be affiliated with a recognized order or association. Ex: the IBC network.
3. The building inspector must hold a diploma from a recognized specialized school.
4. The building inspector should be able to submit the inspection report within a reasonable time.
